Live your life

WELL...

This weekend was pretty fun. Mildly eventful. I got throw a tennis ball at Proctor. Today I took my chemistry make up test. It was easier than I thought it would be. I answered every problem which is always a plus. So that took a lot off my shoulders and I'm a little less stressed about school and everything. But overall, I'm still counting down the days until the semester is over.

I'm sure my blog is kinda boring lately, all I've really been doing is complaining about school and talking about being stressed out. So today I'll talk about some other things.

Videos you should youtube:
Green Light by John Legend ft. Andre 3000 (at the very least watch the very end.)
Live Your Life by T.I. ft. Rihanna (just a song I like right now)
Pretty much anything with Andre 3000 actually. (on account of his AWESOMENESS)
Manatee Squash (it'll make you feel a little better if you're feeling down)
or pretty much any video of a kitty cat falling asleep.

That is all for today.

I love the rain the most

Things are looking up! I'm less stressed out.
I think I'm going to have a handle on everything by Friday when I have to take my tests. And if not all I can do is my best and whatever happens happens.

Thank you to my mom and dad, who talked to me yesterday and made me feel better. And thank you to Darcy, who is taking me out tonight to have fun. And thanks you Proctoberfest, for giving me something to look forward to!

Thats all for now.

Asteroid B-612

Today was so overwhelming and upsetting.

Catching up is going to be hard work.

I'm so tired but I have to memorize dumb stuff for a quiz tomorrow.

Why can't I live on Asteroid B-612??

Quack Shack

Turns out the Texas A&M University Student Health Services at the A.P. Beutel Health Center has a much simpler name....the 'Quack Shack'. It may seem mean but it's totally legit.

When I went to the clinic I was turned away with a bottle of pills and the diagnosis of "a bad cold". Then I came home and went to my doctor who told me to throw the pills away and gave me medicine to treat what I really had, a nasty sinus infection. I felt better within the next 24 hours and today I feel just about fully cured.

This weekend went well because of the following reasons:
1) My mom made DELICIOUS homemade chicken noodle soup and cupcakes! And she took care of me and made me feel better. Then she spray painted a chair and made it look all pretty and even let me help her with the seat part of it!! (haha yes, I'm five)
2)I went to lunch with my daddy. It was cool cause I haven't talked to him in a while. I love him a lot and really enjoy when we get to spend time together without anyone else because we think a lot alike and he usually gives me pretty good advice. He's a respectable guy.
3)I got to see my seester look all dolled up for homecoming and she made me a tastey jamba juice smoothie at a discounted (free) price.
4)My sweetheart loving caring bf drove me back to College Station. And his equally loving and caring mother made fantastic soup Saturday night and sent me back with a chocolately care package AND a flameless scented candle that is now gracing my bathroom. And his father gave me a blog-note worthy hug. : ) And so I don't leave anyone out, Walter sent me a HILARIOUS text message about wearing my pajama pants.

oh. and this.

For lack of a better title...

I'm real sick. My mommy came and got me today. Being home is nice.

Bluesday.

Yesterday and today have been pretty bad days. Proctor and Olivia came to visit me this weekend...and then they left....and that made me sad. THEN I have a chem test this week that I'm less than prepared for...I found out I messed up my registration so I can't vote in November. I dyed my white clothes brown on accident. And then on top of all of that I woke up this morning with the WORST sore throat ever!! All that hard work last week to fight off the sickness was destroyed after one days worth of stress. : /

One good thing that happened was I talked to an advisor from the International Studies department here and now I have a better idea of what classes I'm going to take next semester. The list of possibilities includes great things like:
  • Introduction to World Politics
  • People and Cultures of the World
  • International Business Behavior
  • Technology and Human Communication
  • Indian and Oriental Religions
  • Introduction to Film Analysis
And then some not so great possibilities like Business Mathematics and Principles of Economics. We'll see what happens. I'm just happy because these are all much more exciting names than Calculus for Engineers, Physics and Mechanics or Foundations of Engineering.

Sorry I didn't write much in a while. I'm gunna go try to get a hold on Chemistry and try to stop feeling so shitty.

Reason Number 281

Reason number 281 I should transfer to a smaller school: Less students=higher chance an actual person will grade my work=greater chance I get credit regardless of formatting errors.

Which leads me to the subject of today's blog.

Dumb mistakes in math are going to be the death of me this year.

I understand the concepts, but just because I entered "x=-7 x=0" INSTEAD OF "x=-7, x=0" the computer counted the whole problem wrong. Can you even see the mistake at first glance???

It is a fact that the ONLY points I have lost in that class this year are due to small errors like that, I can show you all of my assignments!! ...well other than that attendance quiz mentioned in the previous blog...BUT!

Its a total and complete injustice to me as a student. No one will ever know that I have completely mastered the concepts of this class, because my grade will not reflect that, it will reflect my inability to mark a scantron and 'properly enter my answers' for some computer to grade.

So this is me saying a big, GET REAL MATH 150! And a big, GET REAL NUMERICAL GRADING SYSTEM, and GET REAL COMPUTERIZED GRADING!

That is all.
